Pop star Justin Bieber has responded to growing concerns from fans over his mental health, just a day after celebrating his first Father’s Day.
The 31-year-old singer, who recently became a father to son Jack with wife Hailey Bieber, shared a vulnerable and emotional message on Instagram addressing those urging him to “heal.”
“PEOPLE KEEP TELLING ME TO HEAL. DON’T YOU THINK IF I COULD HAVE FIXED MYSELF I WOULD HAVE ALREADY? I KNOW I’M BROKEN,” Bieber wrote in all caps.
“I KNOW I HAVE ANGER ISSUES. I TRIED TO DO THE WORK MY WHOLE LIFE TO BE LIKE THE PEOPLE WHO TOLD ME I NEEDED TO BE FIXED LIKE THEM,” he added. “AND IT JUST KEEPS MAKING ME MORE TIRED AND MORE ANGRY.”
Bieber’s message comes after a string of Instagram posts on June 15, including a selfie with a small fake hand giving the middle finger, snapshots of his wife and son, and photos of lavish Father’s Day gifts, such as a $38,000 Audemars Piguet watch, Prada backpacks, and a new Apple laptop.
In his post, Bieber also acknowledged how the pressure to grow has left him feeling increasingly self-focused.
“THE HARDER I TRY TO GROW THE MORE FOCUSSED ON MYSELF I AM,” he wrote. “JESUS IS THE ONLY PERSON WHO KEEPS ME WANTING TO MAKE MY LIFE ABOUT OTHERS. BECAUSE HONESTLY I’M EXHAUSTED WITH LEARNING ABOUT MYSELF LATELY AREN’T YOU?”
The emotional post gained further attention as fans noted that Hailey Bieber did not share a Father’s Day tribute to Justin, despite it being his first time celebrating as a parent. This followed backlash to a previous controversial Mother’s Day post shared by Justin, which drew criticism online.
Hailey and Justin, married for nearly seven years, welcomed their son Jack Blues Bieber in August 2024. Since then, the artist has occasionally offered glimpses into his journey as a new dad, sharing moments like outdoor strolls and family time.
Bieber’s recent candidness has sparked a mix of concern and support, as fans continue to express hopes that the star receives the care and peace he needs in this new chapter of life.
