Pop superstar Dua Lipa has officially confirmed her engagement to actor Callum Turner, putting an end to months of speculation. The singer shared the exciting news during an interview with British Vogue, calling it “a really special feeling.”
The 29-year-old artist and the 35-year-old London-born actor have been together for nearly a year and a half. Turner is best known for his roles in Fantastic Beasts, Masters of the Air, and the BBC series The Capture, which earned him a BAFTA nomination in 2020.
“Yeah, we’re engaged,” Lipa told British Vogue. “It’s very exciting. This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don’t know, be best friends forever – it’s a really special feeling.”
Engagement rumors began circulating around Christmas, when Lipa was seen wearing a ring in several social media posts. She revealed that Turner had the ring custom-made with help from her close friends and sister.
“It’s so me. It’s nice to know the person that you’re going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well,” she said.
Although no wedding date has been set, Lipa explained that she’s focused on finishing her current world tour, which wraps up in Mexico this December. Turner is also occupied with filming, including his lead role in the upcoming Apple TV sci-fi series Neuromancer, based on William Gibson’s iconic 1984 novel.
“We’re just enjoying this period,” she added. “I’ve never been someone who’s really thought about a wedding, or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be. All of a sudden I’m like, ‘Oh, what would I wear?’”
Lipa’s comments reflect a shift in perspective as she embraces this new chapter in her life, highlighting the joy and connection she shares with Turner.
